It was great to see more of our people
back in worship last Sunday as we celebrated
the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! If
there had been no resurrection, Jesus’ sacri-

fice would have been in vain and there would
be no Christianity. His resurrection is the cor-
nerstone of the gospel message. I want to
thank the folks in the drama and choir for
helping us remember the death and resurrec-
tion of Jesus and for reminding us that we
have a message to joyfully spread. I really
enjoyed our time of worship as we praised
the Lord together. It was special to me be-

cause we could be together this Easter after
not being able to celebrate together face to
face last year due to Covid-19. It was also
special and somewhat bittersweet because it
was our family’s last Easter celebration with
you as your pastoral family. God has given
me many wonderful Easter memories at Bel-
vedere and last Sunday is one I won’t forget!

$3,299.30 toward our $6,500 goal for the An-
nie Armstrong Easter Offering for North Amer-
ican Missions. We are over half way to our
goal. If you have already given to this im-
portant offering, thank you. If you have not
given, please ask the Lord to direct you in the
amount you should give to support our North
American missionaries. We will continue our
emphasis through the month of April, but you
may give your gifts to the Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering at any time during the church
year which ends on September 30.While you
are praying, ask the Lord to use you as a mis-
sionary in this community each day! Start in
your own house with your children and grand-
children and move outward into your commu-
nity and workplace.

The “Pray & Go” outreach teams for this
Sunday, April 11 are:

The scheduled teams will meet in the parking
lot for a brief time of prayer and then go out to
pray for homes in our community from
4:00PM - 5:00PM.
We are still looking to fill the Nursery
Coordinator position in our church. If you or
someone you know is interested in applying
for the position, a job description and applica-
tion may be picked up on the credenza out-
side the church office.
We still need individuals to volunteer to help
us provide a nursery each Sunday. Covid-19
has affected our nursery workers available. If
we are going to reach young families with
children, we need to have people working in
the nursery each Sunday when visitors come
to worship with us. If you are willing to help
please contact me as soon as possible.
Thank you for your help with this.
We still have two teaching vacancies that
need to be filled in our Sunday School. We
need adult teachers to replace Alan Hankins
and myself. This is important and urgent
since Alan has already moved and I will be
leaving in 3 weeks! I want to ask you to pray
for the Lord to lead people to step up and
teach these classes. If you would be willing to
step into a teaching role, please contact me
as soon as possible.
I have amassed a large number of books
and commentaries over my 43 years of minis-
try. I don’t have the space at home for most of
them, and I am going to have to give many of
them away. I have books by Charles Stanley,
Chuck Swindoll, Billy Graham, Tony Evans
and many more. I have some individual com-
mentaries and some commentary sets. If you
would like to come by my office and see if
there are any books you would like to adopt,
call the church office to make sure I am avail-
able and come take a look.

hope you will come back to worship with us
again this Sunday!
