Target Competencies:
By the end of this module you are expected to:
describe the reproductive parts in plants and their functions;
describe the different modes of reproduction in flowering and non-flowering plants
such as moss, fern, mongo and others;
Big Idea:
Reproduction is the biological process by which new individual organisms –
"offspring" – are produced from their "parents"
Key Concepts:
For sexual reproduction of plants, interaction between the male and female species is a
prerequisite. The offsprings’ genetic structure is not identical but derived from the
combination of parent plants.
Preliminary Activity:
Get a hibiscus plant and try to label its parts. Tape them here.
