PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH

SACANLE, Sean Charles T.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH

 Semestral Break and Enrollment for the Second Semester

- After my first fun and challenging semester in college, I finally got the
chance to take a semestral break and relieve myself from all the stressful
moments brought by online classes. Studying and meeting at a virtual
classroom was definitely not an easy experience for me; it brought me a
lot of distraction and anxiety especially when I am taking an exam and the
environment that surrounds is definitely not conducive to learning.
Nevertheless, I am very much grateful for I successfully surpassed the
challenges of the past semester and I managed to adapt with the current
learning setup. I spent my semestral break preparing for the second
semester. Since I already received my schedule for the second semester
and my curriculum guide, I spent my vacation inquiring about the subjects
that I will take and took some time to collect pertinent reading materials for
each subject area. On May 8, 2021, at exactly 12:00 midnight, I forthwith
accessed the enrollment portal of our university to finish the registration
process for the second semester and download my registration form. I am
looking forward to the next semester and I am hoping for the best things to
happen for the next months and years of my college experience.
 Distribution of Grades for the First Semester
- Opening my university account to access my grades is indubitably one of
the most nerve-wracking moments of my life as a student. After all the
sleepless nights studying for exams, finishing my laboratory reports, and
watching lengthy lecture videos just to fully understand our topic in
calculus, my perseverance finally paid off. I finished the first semester with
no failing grade and I also qualified to be in the President’s list. I am also
glad to say that I finished the first semester as the top five student of our
batch in the Civil Engineering Department. I am fully motivated to strive
harder, aim higher, and achieve my dream with passion and integrity.
 Start of Classes for the Second Semester
- Our classes for the second semester for this current academic year
started last March 15. We met our new professors and some of my new
blockmates (some of my past blockmates were transferred to the other
blocks). For the first week of the second semester, our professors gave as
a brief orientation regarding their respective subject area, learning
expectancies, learning objectives, and grading system. The syllabus for
each subject was also provided by our professors.

ATTENDANCE FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH

 Attended all of our virtual ECE meetings

 Present in all of my synchronous and asynchronous classes

ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE MONTH

 Finished the first semester of academic year 2020-2021, despite of the

challenges posed by the current learning setup.
 Obtained passing grades in all of my subjects for the first semester and
accomplished all of the necessary academic requirements.
 Obtained a General Weighted Average of 1.2777 for the first semester, hence my
qualification for the President’s list. I was also awarded as the top five student of
our batch in the Civil Engineering Department.
 During my semestral break (from March 1-14), I finished reading the three books
that my friend gave as a gift (2 novels and 1 academic book about zoology).

PROBLEM/S ENCOUNTERED

 I was a little bit sad because this has been my second year celebrating my
academic achievement with my family only. Before the time of pandemic, my
friends and I always celebrate our achievements together (I also celebrate with
my family, but it is on a separate event). I greatly miss face-to-face meetings with
my friends.
