A rolling gate shall be opened at different heights for cars and trucks.
If the gate closed and push button “Open midway” (S5) is actuated, the gate rolls up to midway
position.
If the push button “Open top” (S6) is actuated, the gate rolls up to top position.
If the Emergency OFF button (S0) is actuated, the system shuts down immediately.

The gate is closed with button “Down” (S4).

For safety reasons, a light barrier is installed in front and behind the gate. If the light barrier is
interrupted when the gate is closing, the motor must stop immediately and then move to the top
stop position.

For additional safety, there are warning lamps installed in front and behind the gate that light up
during each movement of the gate.

1. Draw PLC wiring diagram
2. Create a PLC tag table. Select the righ tcontact (NO/NC) for the tag.
3. Write PLC program for the given scenario
4. Download and test your program
