Synopsis

Objective.
The objective of this application is to develop a system that effectively manages all
the data related to the various events that the customer chooses. The purpose is to maintain a
centralized database of all event related information. The user can use our app and can choose
a package based on their requirement for their events, the packages provides all the materials
required for an event such as shamiana, utensils, chairs and tables. We provide shamiana for
any required size based on the event. The complete requirements for an event can be availed
through our app. The goal is to support various functions and processes necessary to manage
the data efficiently. Previously vendors have to maintain a register to keep track of the
bookings, through this app it becomes easier for the vendors to keep a track with lot of
efficiency.

Introduction.
A good event management is very important for the success of an event, during the
hustle of the events it becomes tedious for the customers to find a place where all the
materials required is available. This app provides the convenience of selecting the things
required for the events such as shamiana, utensils, chairs, tables, etc. There is a provision to
choose for the package for a predefined numbers.
The ultimate problem for a customer is to find a right place where all the required
things are available within a restricted amount of time. People may have to go to many places
in order to find it. Our app provides a convenience of choosing the required things for an
event through the click of a button, after the desired materials are choose, users can move on
further and make payment. The users can book the things with minimum time and efficiency.

Modules.
1. User
This module allows the customers to create a new account if it is a new user, and
login if an existing user, after the user logs in he can he browse through the different options
in the app and choose the desired materials based on the requirements, after that, the user can
move on to payment and make the payment.
2. Items
This module contains all the information about the available things such as shamiana,
utensils, chairs, tables, and other items. The user can browse through the items and choose.

3. Payment
The user after choosing all the required materials can move to the payment and make
the payment by choosing the payment mode.

4. Admin
The admin or the vendor can access the details such as number of registered
customers, number of orders placed, etc., he can also add a new customer, update the existing
details and delete an existing customer.

Requirements.
Hardware Requirements:
Processor: Intel i5 (Quad Core) or Higher (2.3 GHz or faster)
RAM: Minimum 4 GB
Minimum Disk Space: 5 GB
Network (Internet): 15Mbps

Software Requirements:
Operating System: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (For 64-bit and 32-bit).
Software: Android Studio (Java JDK)
Database: Firebase, SQLite.
Android Phone Emulator with minimum SDK 22.

Existing system.
The existing system does not provide much efficiency with storing the data, the data
of a customer is stored in a register where the vendor has to manually enter all the details of a
customer, while entering the vendor may make some mistake in entering the information, this
may lead to mismanagement of data or customers order. The efficiency also further decreases
as it takes a lot of time to fill the details and the register may be lost due to theft or any
natural calamities such as fire, etc., then the entire info is lost which puts the business at
stake. Due to miscommunication the vendor might take down information different from
mentioned by user. The present system reduces the efficiency.
Proposed system.
Through the development of this new system the user can find all the required
materials for their events and customize the required things according to the requirement,
here there is no miscommunication between the user and vendor as all the information is
entered in the app by the user, and the customer can be contacted for further clarifications. As
all the information is stored in the app database there is no problem of losing the valuable
customer information, it becomes easier for the vendors to keep track of number of orders
placed, etc. It provides secure mode of payment either by debit or credit card. At any time the
user can login and place an order.
Conclusion.
In this project we have developed an app that can be used for hassle free booking of
event management and booking of things such as shamiana, utensils, chairs, tables, and other
items according to their requirements. With this app the customer need not spend a lot of time
in searching for a place, the customer can access this app and choose the necessary items
according to requirements, anytime, anyplace without wasting any time and performing tasks
efficiently. It also reduces the number of people required to manage the details of customers
if using a traditional system (registers) to store the data, by using this app the vendor can
manage it all alone and get the number of orders, customers, etc.

Future Enhancements.
As a future enhancement we can add different cuisines, such as Italian, Japanese,
Mexican, Thai, etc.
We can improve the in-app experience by adding augmented reality, so the customers
can experience how the event decoration and other aspects will look like. The customers can
have complete experience of the event even before the event has occurred. Further we can
include robots to take care of arrangements at the place of event which reduces man power
requirement.
