Spring is in the air...

and we are all ready for sunshine and the hustle and bustle of spring activities! PTO has some
fun activities lined up in addition to making sure we celebrate and show our appreciation to
our staff and volunteers that make Lake Center Elementary the amazing school that it is!

At our next board meeting on April 12th, we will hold the election for our 2021-2022 Executive
Board. If you're interested in serving on the general board, please reach out through the PTO
email: lceptoportage@gmail.com.

We are constantly reminded of what a great community we live in and what a positive
experience it is for our students to be able to attend Lake Center Elementary! We are so happy
to be a part of it!

PTO Meeting
Our next PTO Meeting will be
held on Monday, April 12th
from 6:30 - 8:00 pm via zoom, if
you'd like to attend, please
email us for the link. We will be
holding our executive board
member elections at this next
meeting so if you accepted a
nomination, we would love for
you to join us so everyone can
meet you "in person" before the
vote! Our May PTO meeting we
will elect our general PTO
board! We hope to see everyone
there!
Mileage Club
Mileage Club will start up again
the week of April 12th!
Students walk/run laps around
the track the days they are
assigned to the track to earn
toe tokens and promote good
health. Virtual students are
encouraged to walk/run with
their families. We ask that
everyone upload their distance
on the google form HERE.

 Spirit Wear Sale
Thank you to everyone who
order from our Spirit Wear sale!
We are expecting everyone's
order to arrive at the school the
week of April 5th. They will then
be sorted by the o ce staff and
sent home with the child you
indicated. Thank you for your

for our teachers and staff! Due
to COVID and not having a
fundraiser, PTO has not been
able to provide meals this year.

BoxTops! Don't forget to
download the app and scan
your receipts within two weeks
of purchasing the items.

Pirate Anchor Run

Date: Sunday, May 16th, 2021*

Time: Anytime that is convenient for your family

Location: You can choose your own route! Typically you can run 1, 2, or 3 miles during our
event. Since it's virtual, you can upload pictures to https://tinyurl.com/AR2021pics.

Registration Fee: $5 for individuals or $20 max per family, to be paid at Pirate Swag Pick-up,
cash or card only.
Registration Deadline: Monday, May 10th to guarantee your Pirate Swag (guaranteed to rst
200 participants). Swag Includes: race bib, color your own pirate bandana, and medal.

Pirate Swag Bag Pick-Up: May 12th from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at the drop off loop. Please have
cash or a card ready for payment at that time.

M-STEP TESTING SCHEDULE

Don't forget to have your child come to testing fully rested with a good meal in their tummy. If
your child needs breakfast that day, there is some available at the school.
