Activity Ideas
I think a great new event we could add to our Spirit Bowl competition is the ‘RHS
Tik-Tok competition’. The premise is students would make Tik-Tok’s (that are school
appropriate of course) along with adding hashtags such as #RHSSpirtBowl2021 and
#RHSSophmores (or their class name/theme for that year). They would then be entered
into a virtual competition and at the end of the week whichever class has the most viral
video would be awarded a set amount of points (points will be awarded to first, second,
and third, SBO’s Favorite, and Admins Favorite or alternatively every like is a point). I
think this is a great way to involve more people than ever in the Spirit Bowl and it’s
1
something keeping up on current trends.
Do you ever wish you could get legit RHS merch such as cool hoodies to show off
your love for RHS? This design competition is a way to get students involved and excited
as it gives artistic students the opportunity to submit their very own designs for hoodies
(that we could either sell during spirit week or at the school store). The winning design,
chosen by a student vote (which is another way to let the students be involved), would
then work with our Artist SBO to finalize their design.
SilverRush Socks
This isn’t an activity idea as much as something to sell during SilverRush time. Do
your feet ever get cold walking around doing odd- jobs? Well we have got the solution for
you! Silver Rush embroidered Fuzzy socks! These socks will be available in grey, purple,
and black, and are complete with an embroidered RHS design.
Challenge Week
For one week during SilverRush, with a $1 entrance fee, a student can pledge $5,
$10 or $15 to challenge any member of student government to a challenge of their choice
(whether that be a push up competition, dance competition, holding your breath
competition, etc.). If the student wins, the student government member either has to pay
the pledged amount, get pied (pie to the face), or do a dare (from an approved list) of the
winning student’s choice. If the student government member wins, the challenger has to
pay the pledged amount of money in addition to their $1 entrance fee.
