MPUC Seeking Community Participation in Public Hearings Scheduled for April 13 and 14 in the
Otter Tail Power Company Rate Case

Otter Tail Power Company (Otter Tail) is currently undergoing a formal rate case review process. A
rate case proceeding is initiated when a regulated utility files a rate case with the Minnesota Public
Utilities Commission (MPUC).

On November 2, 2020, Otter Tail asked the MPUC to increase its electric rates by about 6.77 percent
or approximately $14.5 million per year. This rate increase would add about $7.77 to a typical
residential customer’s monthly bill.

The MPUC has scheduled remote public hearings, you are invited to participate in the public
hearings and provide commentary on the following days:
