TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
Implementation of Soil Investigation Work

In accordance with the technical specifications of Material Testing, the broad scope
of material Testing work includes:
1. Taking material from several rivers in different locations in the area of Palu City and
Sigi Regency.
 In taking the material we apply several methods, namely: first - we will see or
review the location where the material is taken, we will use human power in taking
this material, when there is a location that is difficult to use human power, we will
use the help of heavy equipment in the form of an excavator.
 We will collect materials based on location and marked on each material to make
it easier for the test to not experience material swapping between the locations of
the material in question.
 The material will be put in a waterproof bag so that the test results are obtained
accordingly.
 After all the materials have been collected from several collection locations, we will
take the material to the laboratory that has been approved by the JICA Team
Project Palu, namely the Material Testing Lobby at the MAKASSAR STATE
POLYTECHNIC in Makassar, by using a land vehicle. After the material arrives at
the laboratory, it will be tested by laboratory personnel based on the specifications
required by the JICA Team Project Palu.
 Material requirements to be taken from each location will be based on the material
testing requirements ranging from 350 - 500 kilograms.
 Each test item will use 3 samples in order to get the average data comparison of
the three test objects. Each test will be repeated up to a maximum of 3 times in
order to get better results.
 For the test material by mixing cement, it will be carried out several times to obtain
a constant or mixture formula according to the required compressive strength, and
the results will come out of the proportion of the mixture of each material.

2. Conduct an in-depth investigation of the material at the planned Sediment Control
Building construction site at several locations on the Bangga River, Salua river, Palu river,
Central Sulawesi Province with several different locations that have been determined.
 In the process of taking materials, we will always coordinate with the JICA Team
Project Palu, especially in determining the location of the collection, which area will
be the location of the collection. So that the work can run smoothly and quickly get
the appropriate results.
3. Perform some testing items in the Laboratory, where the Laboratory already has
Accreditation and meets the standards.
3. Perform calculations in accordance with the results of material testing from the
Laboratory which is made into a written report.
A. Method of Implementation
Material Testing includes several items:
We will carry out the scope of fieldwork and laboratory work above with the following
implementation methods:
 Intake of material as material for testing will be carried out using human resources,
and if necessary using Power Tools we will also prepare it depending on the
conditions of the material collection area.
 Our material collection location always coordinates with the JICA Team who has
determined the material collection position.
 Our laboratory work always uses the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) as our basis
for testing materials in the laboratory.
 All of our testing methods always refer to SNI.

B. work schedule
We will do a Material Testing with 45 days. This time includes taking material from
several locations that have been determined.
