What is it and what is called the new silk road (ruta de la seda) ?

It is a route of trade roads where eastern China connects with Europe and North Africa,
(China, Mongolia, India, Persia, Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Europe and North Africa) this route is
believed to have existed since the Paleolithic, but began to gain strength in the 1st century
BC, it is called the silk route because silk was one of the most prestigious products of the
time and was exported from China, although not only silk was commercialized, there were
different products such as precious stones, wool, ivory and species among others, it is
important to clarify that this was not just a route, but different sections that allowed us to
reach certain specific points

This route was very important since it allowed new ideas, new religions and different ways of
seeing the world and exchange of products, the development of new technologies and
different cultures, between East and West, this path also allowed many cities to enrich
themselves, since With the high visit of merchants, they provided different services such as
accommodation, food, they looked for a way to generate income and meet the needs of
merchants, although not everything was good, a great route of disease transmission was also
generated, from Mongolia it took ( the Black Death) who traveled the Silk Road and was
exploited to Europe causing thousands of deaths, for this reason the Mongols withdrew from
the Silk Road.

The Silk Road allowed the Mediterranean world to reach some innovations such as the
compass, paper and porcelain.
The new silk road is a project that seeks to dominate world trade, launched by China in 2013
where it seeks to combine two maritime and land routes which would improve the
connections between Chica and the Asian continent, it also seeks expansion to other regions
of the world. world like Latin America where China is gaining great influence. The land route
connects China with ports, other Asian countries, and Europe. One of the longest routes is the
FERROVIARA which is located between China from Yiwu and Madrid.
