I would like to bring to your attention Ms. Kay Solderitch, a candidate for a teaching position within your
school district. I worked with Ms. Solderitch in my classes while she earned her degree and Pennsylvania
PreK-4 teacher certification at Kutztown University. In addition, I was her field supervisor during her
Professional Semester and Student Teaching experiences.

Ms. Solderitch displays the qualities of a seasoned educator. She is flexible, reflective, and self-
motivated. She promotes an interactive, hands-on learning environment through her dynamic teaching.
She differentiates instruction and accommodates the learning needs of all students in her classroom. Her
frequent objective-based assessment ensures the development of a complete picture of every child in her
classroom. Ms. Solderitch teaches from the heart and strives to build a community of learners in her
room. She became a technology leader in the classroom teaching full virtually, hybrid, and face to face
throughout her extended placement. In addition, she was the recepient of the Elementary Education
Excellence Award. This departmental award is given to the student who demonstrates the highest level of
knowledge, skills, and dispositions of an effective teacher.

To reach achievements such as hers, Ms. Solderitch maintains a professional, ethical attitude. The rapport
she develops with faculty, students, and community members stems from her positive personal and
professional demeanor.
