Orientation Phase
 The nurse’s orientation phase involves engaging the client in treatment,
providing explanations and information, and answering questions.
 Eto yung phase kung saan magsisimula yung relation ng patient and nurse
2. Identification Phase
 The identification phase begins when the client works interdependently with the
nurse, expresses feelings, and begins to feel stronger.
 Eto naman daw yung phase kung san nakakaroon na si patient ng capability para
mag deal sa problem na meron sya
 Pagkakaroon ng same goal para maayos yung kalagayan nung patient
 Pag define ng problem ng patient and pagdedecide ng service or procedure na
gagawin sa patient
3. Exploitation Phase
 Eto yung phase kung ineemplement na yung interventions para kay patient and
kung paano na dinideal yung underlying problem ni patient
 Dito papasok yung
4. Resolution Phase
 In the resolution phase, the client no longer needs professional services and gives
up dependent behavior. The relationship ends.
 Sa resolution phase naman or yung last na phase is kung saan na meet na ng
patient yung needs nya
 Dito rin nag eend yung relationship ng patient and ng nurse.

Excess fluid in your body. A low-sodium diet and medication to prevent fluid buildup in the
body may help control ascites and swelling.

Medications to control hepatitis. 

HEP B – rest, proper nutrition and plenty of fluids while your body fights the infection. In severe
cases, antiviral drugs or a hospital stay is needed to prevent complications.
The following are the roles of the Nurse in the Therapeutic relationship identified
by Peplau:

Stranger: offering the client the same acceptance and courtesy that the nurse
would respond to any stranger

Resource person: providing specific answers to questions within a larger context

Teacher: helping the client to learn formally or informally

Leader: offering direction to the client or group

Surrogate: serving as a substitute for another such as a parent or a sibling

Counselor: promoting experiences leading to health for the client such as


expression of feelings

Technical Expert: providing physical care for the patient and operates equipment
