PREFACE

Bringing the whole Indian History into this small book is

similar to that of bringing a giant into a small bottle. Student
community and the faculty members of the Law Colleges have to
judge whether the author succeeded in this Herculean task. This
book is based on the syllabus of the Bar Council of India and thne
syllabi of different universities. In writing this book, the author has
consulted the treasure of the British Council Library and the City
Central Library of Hyderabad. The author is grateful to the
authors and publishers of the references. The author expresses his
