~ ICPA 2020 Young Artists ~

AARUN MONTEIRO KASSAM, Portuguese, was born in Brussels. He began piano study with Alice Di Piazza at the age
of five, continuing later with Orit Ouziel, and obtained hisa first diploma in 2016. Simultaneously, he earned the European
School Baccalaureate in July 2016 at the European School of Brussels. In October 2015, Aarun was awarded 1 st prize at the
Andrée Charlier Piano Competition. In September 2016, Aarun entered the Brussels Conservatory, studying with Daniel
Blumenthal. He has participated in the SIPO-Semana Internacional de Piano de Óbidos (International Piano Masterclasses in
Óbidos-Portugal) in the summers of 2016 and 2017 where he had piano masterclasses with Paul Badura-Skoda, Luis de
Moura Castro, Boris Berman, Manuela Gouveia and Michiko Shoji. He joined the ICPA program in 2017 and performs
regularly in Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Russia, the U.S. and Lithuania.

CORINNA SORESSI was born in Codogno, Italy. She began piano study at age six and soon entered numerous Italian
piano competitions (2004—National Piano Competition “Val Tidone”, 1st place; 2005—International Piano Competition
“Val Tidone”, 3rd place; National Piano Competition “Città di Cesenatico”, 2nd place; National Piano Competition “J. S.
Bach”, Città di Sestri Levante, 3rd place). She has participated in numerous masterclasses with Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri,
Paola del Giudice, Chiara Cipelli, Eugen Indjic, Mikhaïl Karpov, Natalia Trull, Maurizio Moretti, and Roberto Cappello, to
name a few. She has performed in Italy, Belgium, Russia, Poland, the U.S and Lithuania. She studies at the Conservatory
"Nicolini" in Piacenza, and detains also a bachelor’s degree in Languages and Literature. Currently, she’s on “Erasmus” at
the Brussels Royal Conservatory in Daniel Blumenthal’s class and joined the ICPA program in 2018.

SIMON-PIERRE POLLIN was born in 2000. He is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Piet
Kuijken. Motivated by his teachers, he participated at several national and international competitions where he won the first
prize in his category in Paris. He also took part to several master classes with renowned artists such as Daniel Blumenthal,
Markus Groh, Vitaly Samoshko and Alexander Romanovsky.
He had the honor to play many times in the beautiful hall of “De Markten” in Brussels and was frequently invited to play in
trio for the Rotary Club, as well at special events for the organization ‘GO! (Education of the Flemish Community-Equal
opportunities”). Simon-Pierre Pollin joined the PRE-ICPA program in September 2019.

KYUNG-AH KIM, Korea, praised for her "a part of the wave of new pianists with an ability to act the part of a star"
(Suburban Chicago News), has won numerous competition awards including the USA Beethoven Competition, the Leos
Janacek International Competition, the Sorantin International Competition, and the St. Charles International Competition
among others. Since having been selected as the 2013 artist in the Seoul Arts Center, she has concertized extensively
throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. She has collaborated with leading conductors including John Williams,
James Orent, Petr Atrichter, and has performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, NEC
Philharmonic Orchestra, BU Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Symphony Orchestra, Busan
Philharmonic Orchestra and Kyunggi Philharmonic Orchestra among others. She received the Bachelor of Music, Master of
Music and Graduate Diploma from New England Conservatory, and the DMA from Boston University where she studied
with Russell Sherman, Wha Kyung Byun, and Boaz Sharon. Kyung-Ah works with Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri as an ICPA
artist in residence since 2016, representing the ICPA program in South-Korea, together with Korean pianist Yujin Lee, also
an ICPA pianist.
She currently teaches at Seoul National University and has been an ICPA artist since 2016,

ALLAN DUARTE MANHAS is a brazilianBrazilian prize-winning concert pianist and conductor. He has been
perfomingperforming in Europe, USA and South America, in such venues as Curt-Sachs-Saal in Berlin, Scriabin Museum in
Moscow, Chopin House in Zelazowa Wola, Georg-Friedrich-Haendel-Hall and Haendel House in Halle, and Mendelssohn
House in Leipzig.
Born in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, he first got in touch with the piano at the age of 7. Years later he would earn his
Bachelor’s degree in piano with honors from the University of São Paulo, under Prof. Fernando Corvisier. After an intense
semester as a visiting scholar in Ukraine (National Academy of Music "Peter Tchaikovsky", Kiev) he finally transferred to
Germany to pursue graduate studies. There he earned his Master’s Degree and Konzert Examen from the Martin-Luther
University of Halle-Wittenberg, under Prof. Marco Antonio de Almeida. Since 2015 he is a member of the ICPA program
and an Artist-in-Residence of Fondation Bell'Arte (Belgium), under the guidance of Maestro Nelson Delle-Vigne (École
Normale).

KAO TANAGUCHI began her music training at age three with Yamaha Music Corporation in Japan. After completion of
the Professional Study Course, she obtained the Yamaha Teachers Certificate at age twelve. She has won several national and
international piano competitions, and has presented public performances in Japan, the United States, Asia, and Europe. She
earned her Bachelors of Music from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she was a finalist in the
Shepherd School Piano Concerto Competition. Her major teachers include Dr. Robert Roux, Ms. Jeanne Kierman Fischer,
and Ms. Shu-Hao Pao. She has been an active performer, teacher, and accompanist in the Greater Houston area and beyond
since 2001.
In November 2017, Kao has performed with celebrated violinist, Ryu Goto, the younger brother of Midori at Museum of Fine
Arts Houston, and appeared as guest pianist with Houston Civic Symphony to celebrate 50th anniversary of Japan Business
Association of Houston.
Currently, Kao Tanaguchi is running her own piano studio and prepares a Dalcroze Certificate.

As an Artist-in-Residence of the Fondation Bell’Arte, established by Maestro Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, ELODIE
VIGNON’s career as a soloist has had significant success in Europe and the United States. Ms. Vignon discovered her love
for the piano and its endless possibilities at the age of four. In 2001, she was awarded a Gold Medal for her studies at the
Conservatoire Régional de Lyon with Hervé Billaut. She was invited thereafter to study with Daniel Blumenthal at the
Brussels Conservatory, where she obtained two Masters, in Piano Performance and Chamber Music.
On many occasions over the last years, Ms. Vignon has been performing as a soloist with important orchestras under the
baton of distinguished conductors such as Ramon Tebar and Philippe Entremont. She has performed in such halls as the Salle
Cortot in Paris, the Musée des Instruments de Musique in Brussels, the Teatro Nacional de Funchal in Madeira, the Ciurlionis
Museum of Vilnius in Lithuania, and the Roerike Museum of Moscow in Russia... As a chamber musician, she has performed
with the Oxalys Ensemble, the Quartett Coryfeye, the Quartett Amôn, and frequently with the Belgian pianist Julien Libeer.
In 2018, Ms. Vignon released her first recording for Cypres Records (Debussy Complete Etudes for Piano and Twelve poems
by Belgian poet Lucien Noullez.) The recording received many rave reviews in Europe, as well as ‘Four Stars’ in the famous
French Magazine Classica. On 1st February 2020, her second album (Dutilleux-3 preludes and piano sonata and a
commissioned a solo piece from the Belgian composer Claude Ledoux.)

KYUREE KIM started to play the piano at age of 7. She graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School.
She has won several prizes including the First Prize at the International Youth Piano Competition in Singapore, and the 4th
prize at 13th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia as well as numerous competitions in Korea.
She made her debut at Lee Won Art Hall, at age 15.
She perfomed in recital at Valldemossa Chopin’s Catedra, Young Artist Concert in Seoul Arts High School, the Complete
Scriabin Etudes Recital at Seoul National University and as a soloist of the Seoul Orchestra and Music Perugia Orchestra.
She also followed master classes with Michel Béroff, Inna Faliks, Bruno Rigutto, Boris Berman, Eugen Indjic and Nelson
Delle-Vigne Fabbri.
Since 2017 she has beenis studying at the Seoul National University, College of Music with Prof. Hee-Sung Joo, Kyung-Ah
Kim and joined the Pre-ICPA, Korea.

YEDAM KIM started playing the piano at the age of 6 and graduated from Seoul Arts High School. She performed at the
Central Music School of Moscow Conservatory, NTNU (TAIPEI), Valldemossa, Paris, Seoul Arts Center…. Yedam won
numerous awards at the Seoul Orchestra Competition, Young-Chang Music Competition, Beethoven National Piano
Competition, Taipei Maestro Music Festival. She has been awarded a full scholarship at Musicfest Perugia. As a soloist she
performed with the Perugia Orchestra, Seoul Arts High School Orcherstra, Seoul Orchestra, Gang-Nam Symphony
Orchestra. She also takes master classes with Michel D’Alberto, Françoise Thinat, Jörg Demus, Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri
and joined the Pre-ICPA program in Korea.
