Our desire to attain the good life has push us to the limit to keep
innovating and creating things whether for the fulfillment of our
unending needs or just something for our senses to feel comfortable and
alive. It is evident since the dawn of time that we, humans will do
anything to strive and survive. Back then, primitive and tribal groups
was forced to make weapons so they can protect themselves from unexpected
threats. Now, it is known to us that there will be seasonal and unexpected
calamities and disasters, man-made and natural so as a human instinct,
we do something about it to the point that we want to be the god itself,
we start to manipulate things and no matter what the impact of it to the
world, we do not care because we want to survive but that is the
aggressive nature of human instinct. If there are bad and aggressive
people, of course, there are good ones, those who never fail humanity
by creating something without destroying anything and has potential in
achieving not just the good life but a better, sustainable, comfortable
and friendly to our home, the nature.

There are already technologies created that promises benefits for

us and to the nature. These technologies are so called “Green
Technology”. One exciting innovation and advocacy is the “Green
Computing”, it is the environmentally responsible and eco-friendly use
of computers and their resources. Technically, it is the study of
designing, manufacturing and engineering, using and disposing of
computing devices in a way that reduces their environmental impact.
 The fact that computers are important to anyone now, as a BS
Accountancy student, having green technology lessen our worry about the
costs of living and studying. We will be more focus on how we will
achieve our dreams, we will be encourage to study more and with the aid
of green computing, concurrently, we will be contributing to the society
thus creating a healthy environment for ourselves that is so much
beneficial for studying. By the time we finished school, we will become
an advocate of green computing and we will be environmentally-responsible
professional. Green computing will help us BS Accountancy students in
promoting the importance of saving money. It can be use as a great
example of a good investment in life. Green computers are beneficial in
different aspects of our lives, in health, environment, social and
economy. Green computing promotes less waste reduction and less
pollution. Early investment on these kind of technologies can save money
in the long run. Green computing is offering us solution to our problems.
It is now in existence and we shall adapt to it.
