This activity will help you meet these educational goals:

Introduction
In this activity, you will scan and edit a photograph. You will use the different editing
techniques that you have learned on this scanned photograph. You will save these edited
photographs in appropriate file formats. We recommend using the free, online editor
https://pixlr.com/e/ if you don't have access to editing software on your computer.

Directions and Analysis

Task: Scan and Edit Photographs

Scan a photograph of your family and store the image in appropriate format. Improve the
visual quality of the image by adjusting its colors, brightness and contrast, hue, and
saturation. Crop and resize if needed. Denoise and sharpen the image if needed. Make three
different variants of the image by applying rendering techniques and tonal variations. Save all
the images in JPG format. Share it with your family and evaluate yourself.
