Smart Farm Research Center
Present and Future of Korean Agriculture
Gyeongsang National University
Smart Farm Research Center
Gyeongsang National University Smart Farm Research Center was selected as the Agricultural Research
Center support project in April 2017 to secure core technologies in agriculture and foster excellent researchers
in the agricultural industry by integrating agriculture and information and communication technology (ICT /
IoT). Currently, At the Smart Farm Research Center of the University, the research and projects underway
consist of three core tasks: the development of key technologies for livestock smart farms, the development of
smart farm core technologies for horticulture facilities, and smart farms management systems. the research is
underway to develop stable development by combining IoT technology
Through these efforts, we will improve the productivity and profitability of high value-added agricultural
products in the international competition and solve the problem of spreading smart farms and encroaching
imported products through localization of high-performance equipment. In addition, we expect to be able to
solve the disparity in labor supply and demand among the labor and related companies through the cultivation
of excellent professional manpower. It is my call for the next generation to build a strong foundation for contin-
ued development of smart farm research. I hope that our research will be the basis of the next generation of
food and jobs, and I will do my best to do so.
