Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane. Parsol® 1789 by DSM is a very strong and efficient UVB absorber for sunscreen and
other skin care formulations. It contributes to SPF and enables broadband protection when combined with effective UVB
filters. Compatible with a range of solubilizers including UVB filters PARSOL® 340, PARSOL® EHS, PARSOL® MCX,
and many emollients. Parsol® 1789 is used in sun-care products.
