Q. Was the refugee issue the most important problem facing the newly formed government of Pakistan in
1947? Give reasons for your answer. [14]
Introduction:
Pakistan came to exist on 14th August 1947, initially, Pakistan had to face numerous important problems such
as refugee issue, however, there were other problems faced by the newly formed government of Pakistan
such as Division of Assets, Social Problems, Canal water dispute, Geographical Problems, Political Problems,
and social problems, etc. Despite these problems Quaid safeguarded the survival of Pakistan.
First one must explain the point mentioned in the question
Refugee problem

Jinnah was chief executive, didn’t start work nor outline the time to assembly.

Conclusion
Pakistan and Quaid faced numerous problems such as political, economic, social, geographical problems,
division of assets. Although, all of them were important the most important among them was therefore, the
refugee problem since around 20 million people had to be accommodated in a new nation by a new
government, it was consequently, one of the utmost important problems which had to be resolved
immediately. Nevertheless, due to diligent work of Jinnah Pakistan managed to overcome the problems faced
by the new nation in it’s early days.
