Installation Notes
1. For new installations, use Install Path 1 of the Installation Roadmap.
2. Install Path 2 on the Installation Roadmap is for 24.0 SPAR upgrades. This is not a valid install path
unless the system is already loaded with a previous 24.0 version. Customer data is retained without
backup and restore to external media. Refer to Section 3 for details.
3. Install Path 3 of the Roadmap is for a clean installation of the Windows 10 OS and Free Flow Print
Server software. Use this path to reinstall Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Server version 24.0 software.
Customer data must be backed up and restored to external media (CD-RW, USB flash drive, network
drive).
Prerequisites
The server hardware must be the following platform:
Dell T630i Product Code X7G, X0P and X1P
Dell T640 Product Code CWZ
Other hardware does not accept or load Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Server 24.0 software.
For a Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Server Version Update, software version 24.0.XXXXX.X or higher must be
installed.
Print Drivers
Go to Xerox.com to download the most recent version of the print drivers. Several updates are routinely
loaded and could differ from the packaged drivers provided in the kit.
Applicable Documentation
Service documentation is available on the Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Server Service Documentation X86
Edoc (E705P01368) available from MAPs around September 1, 2015.\

Caution
• Check GSN library 14380 for any updates to this document.
• Review Read Before Starting in this document before proceeding. Locate the installation path based on
installation type. This section must only be performed for installation path 1.
• The date, time and time zone (default = UTC-05:00 EST) are set at manufacturing. Do not change the
date and/or time to an earlier date or time. This will result in an invalid 30-day grace license and a
permanent license will need to be installed. Change the time zone from the Windows taskbar to the
proper local value to achieve the correct time. Changing the time zone change will not affect the grace
license and the license will remain valid.
Caution
The Dell PowerEdge T640 is a server class machine and requires the onboard Ethernet ports be connected
to a 1 GB network speed or higher.
The external network (port 1 –Top) that connects to customer’s external network must be 1 GB or higher to
communicate correctly. If the network is slower than 1 Gb (10/100Mb) than the customer needs to provide
a switch/hub between the T640 and the network connection that runs at 1Gb and auto negotiates down to
the slower speed. These are readily available at most computer retailers and most auto-negotiate to slower
speeds
The internal network (port 2 –Bottom) that communicated to the print engine should not need any
adjustments as a 1 Gb switch is installed internally in the printer
