A CAREER IN JOURNALISM

Abstract

I researched journalism because it has been a profession that had lingered in my mind for my

whole life. I’ve always had a passion for writing, whether it be fiction or poetry, or my memoir.

I had never done any research on journalism before, it seemed to be a good career to start off

with.

There are so many different types of journalism, so there are many jobs of different kinds to look

for. Journalists make more than Social Workers, who work with Human Resources with about a

10,000 dollar difference in salary. Journalists are important because there is so much news and

so many stories that need to be told and need to be heard! The media will pick and choose what

to write about, but there are some journalists who simply write about whatever they felt the need

to write about. Whether it’s current events, or about celebrities, etc, journalists want to be a

voice for those who can’t speak for themselves or would just like someone else to confide in to

tell a story.
