Introduction
"Compressors are machines whose purpose is to provide energy to the compressible fluids
(gases and vapors) on which they operate, in order to make them flow while increasing their
pressure. In this last feature precisely, they differ from the blowers and fans that handle large
quantities of compressible fluids (air for example) without significantly changing its
pressure, with similar functions to the pumps of incompressible fluids".
Pedro Fernández Díez
With this definition of what is a compressor I allow me to start this document, since this is
intended to publicize the classification and operation of compressors with the help of a video
presentation to make it more entertaining for the person concerned and can learn these simple
concepts in a more fun and enjoyable way.
Having perfectly clear definition of a compressor will show that the different types of existing
compressors, have various classifications.

Conclusion
After making and examining this document we were able to complement some concepts,
which were already familiar to us, for example we defined a compressor as a machine capable
of raising the pressure of the fluid it handles, plus it not only displaces fluids, but also
modifies the density and temperature of the compressible fluid. We also learned that
compressors can be divided into different types, such as reciprocating compressors (which
open and close valves to suck or compress the gas), rotary compressors (with rotating screws)
or dynamic compressors, among others.
