Depression and Anxiety
Students will identify causes, preventions, and treatments of common
barriers to learning.
Good morning everyone. Today I am going to be teaching you about
outside of school. Take a minute or two to think about what you
already know about anxiety and depression and write a few
sentences on padlet.

1. Students will answer the warm up question on padlet
2. Teachers will go read over the answers on padlet
3. Teachers will start teaching about anxiety and depression and
the effects of them on students, what teachers and schools
can do to help students with these barriers, and the stats of
these barriers in VA and the country.
4. Students will take short notes as the teacher is going over the
information-I will let them choose if they want to take
handwritten notes or if they want to take notes on the
computer (I will give them a note page)

5. Teachers will summarize the lesson and ask the students to
think about what they learned- this will be the time where I put
up their “exit ticket” (the 3 2 1) slide and they can think about
what they learned so they can answer the question.
6. Student’s will do a 3 2 1 exit ticket. They will put on padlet 3
things they learned today, 2 things they thought was
interesting or already knew, and 1 thing they still have a
question about
I will summarize the lesson and have the students do a 3 2 1 exit ticket
on a padlet. Before they start the 3 2 1, I will ask if they have any
questions they would like me to answer.
