FOOTBALL BIATHLON

SETUP
Mark out a 40 x 30-metre pitch and set up a biathlon circuit inside it as shown, using poles, cones, and
mini goals.
Mark out a 10 x 15-metre penalty lap.
Divide players into three teams and have them line up at the starting cones.

SEQUENCE
At the coach’s signal, the first player from each team dribbles around the first cone, through the slalom
poles, and around the next two cones to the shooting range.
At the shooting range, players stop dribbling and try to shoot all three of the balls at their cone into the
goal.
For every missed shot, players dribble one penalty lap.
Afterward, they deliver their ball to the next player, then run back to the shooting range and set the balls
back up at their cone.
Each player runs four to six rounds (depending on age level).
Breaks should be about five minutes long (also depending on age level).
Which team is the first to get everyone back to its starting cone?

VARIATIONS
Players juggle instead of dribbling.
Players dribble a certain way (left/right foot only, etc.).
