Cemcrete’s SuperScreed is an 8mm-15mm high strength, shrinkage compensated single pack granolithic type screed mix.

Purpose
To provide a thin tough screed mix for the application of Colour Hardener and for rectifying imperfections in floor surfaces to
provide a suitable surface for micro coatings, Cemcrete’s CreteCote, tiles, carpets and wooden flooring.

Specimen finish
A trial area should be treated on-site for the architect’s approval.

Storage
SuperScreed bag mix can be stored, unopened in a dry place at temps above 5°C, for 3 months after date of invoice.

Suitable surfaces
New and old concrete surfaces that are at least 28 days old. Appropriate surface preparation is essential.

Surface preparation
Surfaces should be hard, clean and free of any contaminants like release agents, oils, waxes, curing agents, gypsum based
products or anything which may impair adhesion. All major cracks and holes must be repaired with a suitable propitiatory repair
mortar before applying SuperScreed. Any old concrete must be sanded / scrabbled and rinsed with water to remove all dirt and
loose particles. Any new concrete should have a wood type floated finish to improve adhesion. All new concrete work must have
a moisture content of less than 5% before the placing of the screed can commence. Prime using Cemcrete’s PrimeCote system
before the application of the SuperScreed.

Weather
Do not apply when temperatures are above 30°C or expected to fall below 5°C within 5 hours of application.

Mixing
Mix SuperScreed with sufficient water to obtain a normal screed type consistency. Hand test - take the mixed material and
squeeze tightly to form a ball in the palm of your hands. The ball should retain its shape when you release the pressure and leave
a slight dampness on your palm. Do not mix up more than can be used in 60 minutes.

Application
Apply Cemcrete’s PrimeCote mix onto the floor, and whilst wet spread Cemcrete’s SuperScreed on top of the primer using a steel
trowel. Stamp it down with a perforated stamper in layers of 5mm to a maximum thickness of 15mm. Ensure proper compaction
and finish with a wood float. See curing section.

Applying Colour Hardener over SuperScreed

Apply Cemcrete’s PrimeCote mix onto the floor, and whilst wet spread Cemcrete’s SuperScreed on top of the primer using a
steel trowel, stamp it down with a perforated stamper. Ensure proper compaction and float to a wood float finish. Immediately
apply Colour Hardener as per its datasheet. The finish can be steel or pan floated. See curing section. Follow Colour Hardener’s
datasheet for proper curing and sealing methods.

Curing
Cure the floor with a fine mist spray for the next 3 days to ensure limited water loss. After this, you may apply CreteCote or
FloorCrete of a chosen colour in accordance with its datasheet. If Colour Hardener was applied, then cure & seal in accordance
with its datasheet.

Coverage
SuperScreed will cover approximately 0.9m2 when applied at 10mm thick.

Supplied in 40kg polypropylene bags.
