Dear Committee Members:

On behalf of Theatre Arts Department Head Adrianne Moore I am pleased to nominate

Rhiannon Towne for the Caine Scholars program for the 2020-21 academic year. Ms. Towne is
currently a first-year student majoring in Theatre Education. Throughout this year she has
demonstrated academic excellence, artistic merit, and leadership skills.

Ms. Towne came to USU with a strong record of acting and, unusual for a first-year student,
significant experience in playwriting and directing. She has continued her artistic development
at USU and is currently performing Every Tiny Second, a production written by a fellow theatre
arts student.

This year Ms. Towne has participated in service projects with the Theatre Education Student
Association and was recently elected by her peers to serve as Secretary of the organization.
This builds upon her significant leadership experience during her high school years.

I am confident that Ms. Towne will continue to contribute to the department and college in
significant ways as she advances through her education, and nominate her with enthusiasm. If
