Markham Stouffville Hospital

Markham, ON L3P 7P3
Please accept this letter and the attached resume for consideration for the Part-Time Unit Clerk position
that is currently posted on the Markham Stouffville Hospital employment website. As a current Durham
College student in the Office Administration – Health Services program, I have been hoping to find the
kind of position that you currently have available. I am very interested in this position because it will
allow me to put into practice the skills I have acquired, and I think that my education and experience
would be an asset to your company.
In December of this year, I will graduate from Durham College. By the end of my courses, I will have a
valuable education background in the office administration field as well as thorough training in medical
terminology and medical software. I have gained extensive experience through my previous
employment, most recently as an owner of a travel agency. I was responsible for being the first point of
contact, providing exceptional customer service to clients and potential clients and working in a fast
pace environment that required a lot of attention to details. I had to be flexible with my availability and
provide follow up in a timely manner. I have always set high standards and consistently achieved my
goals, such as building a clientele from scratch, with repeat business and referrals and networking to
creating professional relationships with key industry partners.
I would love the opportunity to discuss in further detail how I would be the perfect fit for this position. I
can be reached at 647-624-5429 or via email at andreaarkelltravel@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing
from you and thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Andrea Arkell
