“The Entire History of You”

Memories are food for a happy soul when these are good, bad memories track you back to times that
you didn’t wish to have in your life. Human life is full of ups and downs and situations trigger people
to make decisions that are either bad for their present or could impart huge turmoil in the future. Yet
the human mind isn’t a hard drive that could store every moment of the past either good or bad.

This British-based series has shown a technology in the episode “The Entire History of You” that
could allow people to store the entire timeline of their previous life using a memory implant called
Grain that is in conjunction with an eye lens to record audio and video of the very moments and
store them as that on a hard drive. These memories are accessible through the same lens or could be
cast on your peripheral AV devices.

The story of the episode revolves around a couple that is going through trust issues and is engulfed
by an enigmatic cheating scandal because of the very same technology. Liam thinks his wife Ffion is
having an affair with Jonas, an old friend of hers. A suspect through the technology turned into
reality by the same technology.

Since the technology could be seen in series to be used by individuals to secure the memories and
the governments to have a surveillance check on the citizens. No one is enticed to lie because they
know they will be caught by dug up on their memories which could be a good tool for regulators, but
everything is having certain odds of usage since the mass surveillance in social society is sort of
provocative.

It has been seen the user has access to remove and clip the memories which can be a good thing for
the user as an individual but this could be a great threat to society as one could trim and memories
as per their need and blackmail others or could delete the memory which isn’t accessible by law
enforcement in any case.

Memories are good to hold but these are sort of a barrier to moving on, one needs to wipe such
memories that are barricade to the growth. Sticking to useless memories lets one drown in anxiety
and loneliness.

In this age of society when socialization has been seized to exist and our interaction with machines
has been on growing exponentially and our gadgets are our only friends these days. In such a
scenario what could happen if such a heavy addicted technology like Grain could be realized in
society. Nature does the things right way but humans can't do it on their own. With time some
memories are diminished and eventually fade out and that how people let these go off but what if
these are within your hard drives like an event happening right now or have just passed. Now, this is
a moment of concern for society, would it grow positively, or could be in unwanted chaos with such a
technology.
