MAN603/608 – Technology, Operations & Innovation

EUREKA FAIR – ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

In Week 13 the class(es) of MAN603/608 need to submit report, presentation, prototype and anything
they have prepared on LMS. In Week 14, groups will give presentation to externals to show case their
ideas prototype and t h e i r innovative capability.

The instructions for report and display of above mentioned Idea Resume are as follows:

Report should include the following:

1. Problem Statement
2. Preamble / Executive Summary
3. The Team
4. Introduction to the Idea / Our Idea
5. Key Features / Benefits / Activities (Should include idea sketch and graphical representation of
idea)
6. Business Model (Using the Business Model Canvas)
7. Target Customer (Customer Profiling)
8. Crossing the Chasm – How to ensure Idea survival (using Geoffery Moore’s model)
9. Testing Plan (Eureka Fair)
10. Pricing Model (Basic Cost Breakdown & Pricing Structure)
11. The Way Forward – Future Planning
12. Annexure: Eureka Fair Idea Resume (Proposal); Any other relevant material

Presentation - Display at the Eureka Fair

1. A poster presentation must be developed which outlines the project idea in an effective
manner. Poster should be 3ftx5ft in portrait orientation (Not Required if Online)
2. A prototype must be on display and available for review. Apart from prototype, other videos such
as presentation/ video / graphical animation will show groups effort and should be looked at
doing.
3. Ring bound copy of Eureka Fair Report and other relevant literature must be kept for review
at display station (Not Required if Online)
4. Any other decorative material required to make your display station attractive. Be creative!

Important:

- The Eureka Fair is worth 25% of your grade. Your presentation should show your efforts.

- There are many free prototype creation tools available online like proto.io, Adobe XD etc. Use
them. For product prototypes use materials at home to make a good prototype. For all the
hardware, proper research and mentioning should happen.
