Every person in this world is given the ability to express their ideas,
thoughts and feelings through the use of communication. Communicating is an
essential part of our life for it became our bridge of understanding people around
us, thus creating a relationship with them. We communicate through writing,
speaking and making body movements. One of the biggest challenge of
communication is maintaining a good relationship with others as you
communicate with them. In order to successfully maintain a relationship, there
are things that we should keep in mind when communicating. The first thing to
know are the five W’s. in communication, which are the elements of
communication. Knowing who will be the receiver, what will be the channel and
noise, is essential to construct the message that is comprehensible. The second
thing to know is the way of delivering the message. The process of
communication is an integral part of the goal since an orderly flow of what we do
is what keep things organized and coherent. As mention a while ago, our bodies
can also communicate, our body movements can communicate alone or should
be synchronized with what we say. This aspect of communication builds and
destroy relationships, and so should be studied and learned.

There is indeed a relationship between our words and actions and how
they are used to communicate. Verbal and non-verbal communication plays an
important role in our daily lives, particularly in communicating. The verbal way
communicating is expressing our message through the utterance of words. While
non-verbal communication takes place when we express our message through
body movements and expressions. According to Oxford Reference.com, the
speech act is a purposive action with words in interpersonal communication,
expressed predominantly with citation to the speaker's intents and its influence on
the listener(s), And the speech act theory is a sub-field of pragmatics that deals with
how words are utilized not only to impart information but also to accomplish actions.
Whenever we say something, our bodies perform actions as intended in the
speech. We can use this principles to think of the right words and actions to use
when we communicate with others because if these are used simultaneously in
accordance to essence of the message, the better the receiver can understand
what we meant, thus creating and maintaining a good relationship with them.
