Mood board

My artist is an electric folk artist apart of a hybrid genre called folktronica. My music video contains a lot of nature
and sunlight which give a very natural and wholesome feel to the music video juxtaposing to a lot of darker imagery
like Ravens and graveyards. The white dress my artist is depicted in is symbolic of a bride’s dress representing
tranquillity. This is separate from the all black smart casual costume which I plan for my artist to wear during
moments of pure performance in my music video.

Intended setting
1:

For the first setting I would use the fields near my house (does not have a specific location name). Ideally, I would
have wanted to film this during springtime so it would be slightly muddy and there would be some sort of sunlight
and potentially I could get some golden hour sunlight. The point of this setting is so I could capture my artist digging
in muddy weather which is an important part of the music video as it links to the darker themes of death in the
chosen song.

Intended setting 2:

The second location I would use for my music video would be the American playing fields. Specifically, the trench
that runs though at the side of the American playing fields. I would have my artist do the singing performance parts
of the music video here because it has the tree canopies.

Performer information:

Star name: Anna Williams

The person who I originally chose for my music video was Anna Williams. Aged 17.
She works as my star image for my music video because she is conventionally
attractive brunette long hair. She can easily pass off for someone who is in her early
20’s which is the age I need my star image to be. She will be the only star
performer in my music video. Stars image that I plan to convey is an emotional and
performance that is both exaggerated and underplayed. The performance and
conventional attractiveness and song is what the audience is supposed to identify with.

Costumes:

Costume 1: The first costume that I had planned for my music video was a light white dress for my filed location.
The light white dress is to represent purity and tranquillity as conveyed through the song. The white dress conforms
folk genre conventions. The point of the dress in the music video is that its supposed to be getting dirty while she is
performing the field.

Costume 2: The second costume that I had planned for my music video was all black clothing which can be seen in
the photos on my artists website. This semi smart casual clothing is fairly conventionally especially as I plan to use
this costume to be used when my artist is performing lip syncing.
