    It was the narrator's father's birthday. The narrator woke up their sister to tell her it was their dad's birthday. They woke up their mom and went to get a cake from the store, but there were none left, so they decided to bake one instead. They cracked eggs and flour and baked the cake for 5 minutes, then decorated it. They prepared food and called friends to celebrate when their father arrived home from work.     It was a Sunday morning.

    I woke up and look at the calendar and was surprised


    and said to everyone,’’ It’s my Dad’s birthday!!’’
    I woke up my sister and said softly, ‘Today is daddy birthday!!’’ Me and my
    sister woke up our mummy and then we went and get the cake because our
    daddy is at work. But went to the cake shop, there was no more cake and then
    we decided to bake a cake instead.
    First, we cracked 3 eggs and flour.
    Second, we poured the batter and put it in the oven for 5 minutes. After 5
    minutes, decorated the cake as nicely as we could.
    After we decorated the cake, we prepared the table with yummy food and
    then we call our friends.
    When our father came home, we sang a happy birthday song and enjoyed the
    food.
