To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf Tim Nines, a passionate educator and colleague of mine at Jo
Ella Exley Elementary. At Exley, Tim first worked as a long-term substitute teacher in 5th grade
ELA/SS and then as a supplemental tutor for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I had the pleasure of
working with him during planning sessions, collaborating with him during long-range planning,
and modeling lessons and providing feedback in his classroom. During Tim’s time on our
campus, he worked diligently with his students, using strategies that foster best practices while
attending to students with kindness and care.

Tim worked collaboratively to plan engaging, hands-on lessons for his students. During his time
on Exley’s campus, Tim worked with me weekly to plan lessons and reflect on student learning
from the previous week. Tim worked diligently to ensure that his students mastered the TEKS. His
dedication to his students was evident in the students’ progress. Tim’s passion shines through
when he works with his students. You’ll often find Tim’s students engaged in learning, whether
it’s a whole group lesson, a guided small group lesson, or independent practice. He has truly
fostered a love of learning in his classroom.

In conclusion, Tim has become a substitute teacher that we call on often at Jo Ella Exley
Elementary; his punctuality and consistency is valued by students, teachers, and administrators
alike. If you need any additional information, do not hesitate to contact me at 281.237.8415 or

Sincerely,

Lora Hodges, ELA/SS Instructional Coach
