Minutes of Second Parent-Teacher Conference

I. Opening Prayer
The meeting was started by an opening prayer through a video
presentation.

II. Approval of the Minutes

Previous minute was approved by the School Principal through the
recommendation of the Department Head Mrs. Nimfa W. Sor.

III. Agenda:
1. Spending Your Time in the New Normal
2. Health and Safety Practices During COVID-19 and Other Updates
3. How to Compute Grades in the New Normal (DepEd Order No. 30, s.2020
4. Presentation of Honors for the Second Quarter.
5. Other matters

IV. Business arising from the meeting:

1. Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by Grade 8 – Daffodil adviser, Mr.
Ken Mitchell T. Morales as instructed by the School Principal, Dr. Ma. Leonor
M. Vertucio. The Class Adviser welcome the parents and thanked them for
being the institutions partner in educating their children and by giving time to
joined the online Parent-Teacher Conference.
2. The Grade 8 – Daffodil Adviser discusses how time may be spend during the
new normal, he also reiterated to the parents that Social Distancing does not
mean isolating oneself from others, instead it is only a way of protecting
oneself while still maintaining connected communications among their family,
children and friends.
3. The Class Adviser also explained the different health and safety practices
which includes proper wearing of face masks, proper hand washing, and the
different IATF protocol. He also discussed the concept of vaccination along
with the frequently questions being asked regarding the said vaccine. When
asked if they are interested, some parents say yes, while others says no and
the rest are still undecided.
4. Computation of grades during the new normal was also discussed among the
parents, it was explained to them that Written Works and Performance Tasks
are the only main source of their children’s grade in each subject.
5. Honors in Grade 8 – Daffodil was also awarded during the Parent-Teacher
Conference for them to be recognized by their parents which will motivates
them more achieving academic excellence. There were six (6) students from

Grade 8 Daffodil who were able to have a “With Honors” recognition, which
average range from 90 to 92.7.
6. Other matters was discussed such as the INC and NC. Parents are also
encouraged to monitor and help their children in accomplishing the tasks
given by the Teachers in different subjects. They were also asked if they
need a printed Learning Activity Sheet, and it turns out that all the attendees
are comfortable in securing their children’s’ LAS through sending online.

V. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm with a closing prayer led by one of
the parent attendees.
