    Slide 20: Use the Quick-Write Template provided below to respond to the activity, “Choose
    ONE main character (listed in the table above) and create a diary entry from their point of
    view, embody them and what you think their personalities or desires are. After choosing a
    character, create a diary entry from their point of view, perhaps a prediction of what may
    occur in the book. Make sure to use descriptive language, talk about current events that
    may be occurring in the 1920’s, relationships, etc.

    Quick Write Guidelines Your Response


    Thesis Statement In your quick-write, you must include a
    thesis statement which includes a
    statement of your paper’s argument along
    with three pieces of evidence in support.
    Expansion of Evidence You must include an expansion of your
    three pieces of evidence throughout your
    quick-write with at least 3 sentences of
    support.
    Analysis After each sentence of support, you must
    include a sentence of analysis that goes
    beneath the surface and shows deeper
    thinking.
    Conclusion At the end of your quick-write, you must
    conclude with a couple of sentences
    wrapping up your paper and restating
    your thesis with evidence.
