A. Definition Matrix
Mathematics is one of the most widely used educational sciences in the sphere of
education and everyday life, for example, is a matrix. Matrix is a set of numbers
arranged in rows and columns to form a rectangle, and is placed between two
brackets. Matrix is usually denoted by capital letters (A, B and so on). Each number
in the matrix is called a matrix element, denoted by a lowercase letter (a, b and so
on).

B. Types of Matrix
The matrix is divided into several types, viz:
1. Square matrix
2. Column matrix
3. Row matrix
4. Transpose the matrix
5. Diagonal matrix
6. Triangular matrix
7. Identity matrix
8. Zero matrix
9. Symmetry matrix

C. Matrix Function
Matrix usability i.e:
1. It analyzes economic problem contains a variety of variables.
2. It is used in solving investigation problems, such as problems in investigating
petroleum source and so on.
3. It associated with the use of linear programming, input output, analysis in
economics, statistics, as well as in the fields of education, management,
chemistry, and other fields of technology.
4. It finds solutions to problems of linear equations, linear transformations. Matrix
is also like ordinary variables, so they can be manipulated such as multiplying,
adding, subracting. Using a matrix representation, calculations can be done in a
more structured manner.
