Legacies of Civilizations

Most ancient civilizations left behind a rich legacy of prescriptions and descriptions

regarding past elements. Most of these elements have helped in coining the contemporary

setting. One significant civilization belongs to the Egyptians.

Egypt’s mystery has cultured the imagination of many people for centuries. The Egyptians

constructed some of the most intriguing monuments without contemporary technology.

Furthermore, Egyptian art and architecture have influenced modern-day art and architecture.

Additionally, Egyptians made several advances in astronomy, medicine, science, and astronomy

(Bulliet et al., 2019). One notable legacy that the Egyptian civilization left is the pyramids. Egypt

pyramids, temples, and magnificent stone buildings have motivated many artists and architects.

These structures are breathtaking and intrigue many individuals.

Ancient Egyptians espoused excellent medical skills and were good at preserving the dead.

Disparate from other ancient societies, the Egyptians had the experience of dissecting corpses

since they supposed that their souls required an earthly body. Consequently, they preserved their

dead as mummies. Another legacy the Ancient Egyptians left behind is the papyrus reed paper.

Scholars sought papyrus as writing paper. It was the initial paper, and individuals utilized it for

significant documentation for thousands of years.

Egyptian civilization and the contemporary setting

Most inventions from the ancient Egyptians played a significant role in the contemporary

setting. The Egyptians' expertise in the construction of the pyramids and several monuments has

permitted many contemporary architects to construct breathtaking buildings and infrastructure

(Tyldesley, 2011). These ancient constructions have inspired countless artists, architects, poets,

and writers from the ancient days to the present day. Indeed, the pyramid plays a significant role

in contemporary architecture, with several settings incorporating this shape in their

constructions. Additionally, Egyptian mummification is the mother of present-day embalming.
