– Windows Server 2019
● Some software programs must be installed prior to the installation of HP Production Pro for Indigo Labels
& Packaging.
There is a separate installer available for these required programs and installation instructions provided in
the next chapter.

NOTE: For a complete list of the prerequisite software programs, see Prerequisite software details
on page 35.

Configure the DFE server for PrintOS

PrintOS is a world-class platform with a cloud-based infrastructure for print production, collaboration, and
delivery of E2E services for streamlining production. The DFE must be configured to support communication
between the DFE and PrintOS.
Provisioning the DFE with PrintOS automatically enables Resource Manager, which supports sharing and backing
up DFE resources.
This step is optional and requires that the customer has provided temporary HP PrintOS credentials.

NOTE: Google Chrome is the recommended browser to complete the DFE provisioning procedure and interface
with PrintOS.

Connect to HP PrintOS
Use this procedure to add a cloud-enabled HP Production Pro L&P self-provisioning device to PrintOS
1. If there is a proxy server on the network, perform the steps in Configure the proxy settings on page 25,
