1 1. Safety

1.1. Safety
1.1.1. Read the Installation Manual
Read the installation manual safety instructions before installing, operating or maintaining the
inverter.

All persons installing and servicing inverters must be:

• Trained and experienced in general safety rules for work on electrical equipment
• Familiar with local requirements, rules and regulations for the installation

DC voltages up to 1000 V are present in a PV system even when the AC grid is disconnected.
Faults or inappropriate use may lead to electric arcing.

Do not work on the inverter while disconnecting DC and AC.

The short-circuit current of the photovoltaic panels is only slightly higher than the maximum op-
erating current and depends on the level of solar irradiation.

2. Introduction

2. Introduction

2.1. Overview 2
This manual describes how to update an inverter to meet the requirements of the “Systemstabi-
litätsverordnung (SysStabV)”.

The update can be performed on

- new inverters, not yet installed
- inverters which are installed and operating

Two steps are required:

1. Perform an inverter settings update using the SysStabV Tool.
2. Apply a completed SysStabV compliance label to the inverter.
When both steps are performed, the inverter is compliant with the “Systemstabilitätsverordnung
(SysStabV)”.

2.2. Log File

When the settings update is complete, the SysStabV Tool creates an individual log file for each
inverter.
The log file is located on the desktop in the folder 'SysStabV Tool Logs'. The log file is named
'SysStabV Log xxxxxxxxx.txt', where 'xxx' represents the serial number of the inverter.
Each settings update of an inverter overwrites any previous content of its individual log file.

2.3. Further Information

Contact the inverter supplier hotline if the installation does not succeed.
