Read the installation manual safety instructions before installing, operating or maintaining the
inverter.
DC voltages up to 1000 V are present in a PV system even when the AC grid is disconnected.
Faults or inappropriate use may lead to electric arcing.
The short-circuit current of the photovoltaic panels is only slightly higher than the maximum op-
erating current and depends on the level of solar irradiation.

This manual describes how to update an inverter to meet the requirements of the “Systemstabi-
litätsverordnung (SysStabV)”.

3 The following items are required in order to perform the “Systemstabilitätsverordnung (Sys-
StabV)” update.
Checklist
1 Standard CAT 5e patch cable (Ethernet cable)
2 USB RS-485 converter
3 Permanent marker
4 Personal computer (PC)
5 Inverter
6 SysStabV Tool software
System requirements:
Hardware:
• Recommended processor capacity: minimum 800 MHz
• Ethernet / USB port
• 50 MB free hard disk space
Software:
• Microsoft® .NET Framework Revision 2.0 (available for download from http://
www.microsoft.com)
Further recommendations:
Computing power: minimum Pentium® III class
Computer age: maximum 5 years old

Double-click on the SysStabV Tool file to start the settings update.

6. SysStabV Compliance Label
Procedure:
1. Fill out the SysStabV compliance label using permanent marker.
The following information is required:
- Inverter type (as specified on product label)
- Frequency setting (as specified in the log file)
- Company performing the update
- Initials of installer performing the update
- Date of update
2. Apply the SysStabV compliance label to the inverter housing.
6 - Single-phase inverter: Apply label to the left-hand side of the inverter, above
the product label.
- Three-phase inverter: Apply label to the right-hand side of the inverter, above
the yellow warning label.
