She clearly articulates her expectations to students, and they respond in kind. She is a master of her content and students achieve in the safe and nurturing environment she provides. She is well organized, intentional in her planning, and her professionalism is beyond reproach. Through her commitment and compassion, Ms. Sweeney has built a community of joyful learners who care and support one another. ‘Whenever data or technical instruction is required, Ms. Sweeney offers assistance without hesitation. She rallies colleagues, offers input, and voluntarily instructs those who need a helping hand. She has innate leadership qualities and can be relied upon to step-up whenever a need is presented. This spring we wanted to offer something to engage and support our middle school readers. Ms. Sweeney stepped up to organize a “March Madness Reading Tournament” for grades 4-8. She created a colorful hallway bracket board to chart student selections and drum up excitement for all the participants. This is just one of many examples of what an incredible asset Ms. Sweeney is to our entire school.
