A : Today we’re going to present in the topic “Food for Thought” And
now, here is the show you all have been waiting for. Let’s see.

ACT 1
B : Nowadays, people have a hasty life than ever before. We’re used to
eating fast food than in a restaurant. We have seen less cooking in home
and instant food is having more important role in our life.

C : However, fast food and instant food are not always healthy. For
example. Some preservative was added into instant food to make its
expiration last longer. Isn’t it?

B : Yes. For more example, fast food have too much fat so if you eat too
much you will get very fat. And this leads to heart disease, diabetes,
kidney disease and more.

C : But some food that is not fast food or instant food can damage our
health too. Such as belly pork which has a lot of saturated fat like in fast
food, so we should avoid some material that could damage our health.

B: So we are going to present you a menu that is good for health.


C : What is it?

B : Today’s menu is “Stir-Fry Mixed Vegetables.” Let’s see.

D : Today we are going to represent our healthy menu. “Stir-Fry Mixed


Vegetables.” What are the ingredients Mr. …..(E)……. .

E : The ingredients are :


1 tablespoon oil
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1 cup diagonally sliced carrots
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cups sugar snap peas
1 large red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Ginger, Ground
2 teaspoons Sesame Seed, toasted
And how to prepare this?
D : PREPARATION
First, heat the oil in wok or large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add
onion and carrots; stir fry 2 minutes. Add remaining vegetables; stir fry 5
to 7 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Add soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger; stir-fry until well blended.
Sprinkle with sesame seed. Serve over cooked rice, if desired.

A : According to well-known dietician Neha Chandna, one of the greatest


benefits of stir-frying foods is that it uses very little oil that makes the
food low in fat and calories. Baking is also a healthy option as it requires
no oil.
The high temperature required to stir fry the foods, cooks the food
quickly and helps retain the nutrients.
Stir frying allows you to choose a broad range of ingredients (vegetables
and meat) you can have a great mix of the essential micro nutrients.
