This point overlaps with Xiangu (ST 43) (/acupuncture/traditional/points/st43), which is in the
LOCATION depression distal to the junction of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones.

PRIMARY:
INDICATIONS
Gastrointestinal disorders: gastritis, enteritis, appendicitis, colitis, abdominal pain, bloating,
diarrhea, dysentery, rectal prolapse, peritonitis
Lower abdominal pain before or after menstruation

SECONDARY:

Migraine, headaches
Inflammation of the uterus and ovaries

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Bilateral needling is contraindicated

Needle towards or penetrate through to Yongquan (KI 1)
(/acupuncture/traditional/points/ki1) to treat vertex headaches.

This point can also be bled.

Bleeding this point is more effective than needling when treating migraines.
