 Why assess student technology learning?
Because NCLB Part D, Section 2402, requires all
schools to ensure their students' technology
literacy by eighth grade.
 Technology assessments promote student and
teacher learning. They help dete1mining how
virtually students can be expected to use
technology resources and skills for productivity,
communication, and research.
 C OMPUTER ACTIVITY
 The goal is to find out what they know, not what
they do not know.
 Open Word. Review the assessment with them.
Go over each step, so they can see how it is laid

up a spreadsheet of each skill and tabulate how
