Concept of HOTS :

HOTS is High Order Thinking Skills. The procces of high order thinking skills is started from low to
high. We find in taxonomy bloom from C1 ( remembering ), C2 ( Understand ), c3 ( aplying ) , C4
( analysis ) , C5 ( Evaluation ), C6 ( Create ) . These competencies can be applied in our teaching
process to guidance the student to think from low to high thinking.

I think the definitions of several types of text are :

1. Poster are to get any influences to inform the reader so the contain of the poster have to
understood to the reader. It is the most important message to deliver information for example when
i found it in the street there are poster persuade to the reader get serious message ( The poster of
seminar )

2. Banner are it contains some information which is the formal banner because present a logo on it.
For example : I found the banner of school there are the logo, information about the school, contact
person and link to register to the school.

3. Advertisement is to advertise the product to other people besides that it can make the reader to
analyze the product because it usually contains the note or information more of the product so the
reader can compare what is the better product to other.

4. Notice is a form information displayed in visual or the fact of observing to paying attention to
something.

5. Caution is a text that give instruction but it's not really prohibited

6. Warning is a text to prohibited the readers because it has impact or dangerous for the readers.

7. Graphic organizer is usually to organize the information and integrated to visual.

8. Infographic is an information include a picture and very minimum text for example : create using
power point, mind mapping cause and effect chart. It is used to show and explain the content.
