A recommendation has been produced for which types of tyre that should be used.
There is no difference between a new and a worn tyre as regards the rolling circumference of one and the same tyre.
The rolling circumference of tyres varies considerably between different makes (manufacturers) and types of tyre, e.g. loader
tyres, transport tyres and tyres intended for various applications.
If different tyre makes or types are used on the same machine, this may cause unnecessary wear on the drive train and even
alter the properties of the machine.
Normally one can mix tyres from different manufacturers if one keeps to the same type of tyre, i.e. that the tyres are of the
same classification e.g. 26.5 R25 E2.

The designation represents the following:

26.5 = Tyre width
R = Radial tyre
25 = Rim diameter
E = Transport tyre (Earth mover)
2 = Industrial code (application)

On the other hand, problems may arise if different tyre makes are used, but one does not keep to the same tyre type, i.e.
mixing a 26.5 R25 E2 tyre from one manufacturer with a 26.5 R25 E4 tyre from another manufacturer or with a 26.5 R25 L5
tyre intended for wheel loaders.

The designation represents the following:

E2 = Transport tyre (Earth mover)
E4 = Transport tyre (Rock application), more rubber in the tread
L5 = Loader tyre (Rock extra deep), much more rubber in the tread.

The rolling circumference between these tyres will probably be greater than what it is recommended. Using tyres intended
for other applications than transport work may of course create other problems than mentioned above.
Similar problems may occur when it comes to remoulds (treated tyres). To be borne in mind when using remoulds is that the
same kind of carcass is used for the remoulds.

УВЕДОМЛЕНИЕ
Эксплуатация машины с шинами, имеющими длину окружности качения больше указанной ниже,
запрещается.

The greatest permissible difference between the tyres on the same machine is shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.
Рисунок 1

Рисунок 2
Max. permissible differences in rolling circumference

1. The greatest permissible difference between front axle and bogie axles, 2 % The tyres with the greatest rolling
circumference should be installed on the front axle.
2. The greatest permissible difference between tyres on bogie axles, 1.5 %
3. The greatest permissible difference between tyres on the same axle, 1.5 %

The rolling circumference cannot be measure practically, instead one has to gather from the tyre manufacturer's data sheet
what the circumference is and then work out whether the difference is acceptable or not.

Example:
Tyres on the front axle 23.5 R25 XADT
Tyres on the bogie axles 23.5 R25 XADN

Data from Michelin tyre catalogue:

XADT XADN
Rolling circumference (mm) 4825 4816
Calculation: 4825 ÷ 4816 = 1.0019 ≈ 0.2%

Conclusion: The permissible difference between front axle and bogie axles is 2% according to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. It is
acceptable to mix these tyres, as the difference is 0.2% in the example.
