Form an interpretation of ‘True Colors’ and reflect

V. A. Introduction Vocal warm-ups focusing on diction, rhythm, and breath support
B. Procedures Introduce ‘True Colors’ by playing three different versions. I’ll
then have the students write a brief reflection in their journals:
 What did you think?
 Which one was your favorite and why?
 What do you think this song means?
 What does it mean to you?

Identify instances of syncopation on pg. 3
Sight read pg. 3-5
C. Differentiation Different aural and visual performances of the song ‘True Colors’
will be played for the students.
