To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Martha Naranjo. I have grown to

know Martha in a professional capacity over the last several years through my work as a
Program Specialist, with New Teacher Development in Bakersfield City Schools. I had the
opportunity to serve as her Mentor years ago. We worked closely together, meeting weekly
when she was a new teacher for her work in Induction. Since then our work together has
evolved. I am proud to continue working with her as she mentors others and supports new
teachers in the same way I supported her.

During this time, I have found Mrs. Naranjo to be dedicated to her professional
responsibilities. She is eager to learn, willing to try new things, and extremely motivated to
challenge herself and her students as they strive to reach their potential. As her mentor as
well as more recently in her role as a mentor, I have had many opportunities to both
observe and support her classroom and teaching. Her students are engaged in grade level
appropriate learning. She uses a variety of instructional strategies to engage and increase
proficiency of her students as they progress towards mastering the standards. I am
impressed with her ability to differentiate instruction, use student collaboration, and
incorporate technology. Martha values and strives to build strong relationships with
colleagues, mentees, and with students and families. She is dedicated to ensuring each and
every student has access to the curriculum and feels welcome and supported in her
classroom. In her role as a mentor, Martha has demonstrated the ability to maintain
confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.

I have had the unique opportunity to witness her collaboration with her team. Through our
conversations I know she values her PLC team and feels fortunate they can learn from one
another. I have no reservations recommending Martha. I feel she is a strong asset in
education, supporting both peers, new teachers, and students. This recommendation comes
with high regards. I look forward to all she will accomplish during her career.

Sincerely,

Jessica Ercoli
