SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

IN ENGLISH 10
DECEMBER 9, 2019

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Identify the antecedent’s pronoun in the sentence
b. give an example with the use of antecedents pronoun in the sentence; and
c. write a sentences with the use pronoun and antecedents
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Antecedents and Pronoun p.323-325
References: Essential English 10, Worktext in Literature and Language,
Gonzales C.
Materials: Laptop, TV, Whiteboard, Whiteboard Marker
III. Preliminary Activities
Prayer
Greetings
Checking of attendance
Review the previous lesson

A. Activity
The teacher will group the students into two groups and they were going to play
“message relay”
B. Analysis
The teacher will ask the students of the following questions
1. What did you observe about our activity?
2. What is the process of our activity?
C. Abstraction
After the students answer the following questions, the teacher will discuss
the topic about antecedent’s pronoun
Antecedents- are nouns (or words that take the place of noun) for which
pronoun stand.
Pronoun- a word such as (he, she, I, you, it, we or they) used to
substitutes to a noun.
D. Application
The teacher will group the students into two group and they were going to write a
sentence with the use of antecedents and pronoun.

IV. Evaluation
In 1 whole sheet of paper underline the pronoun and encircle the antecedents in
the sentence.
1. Jillian ride her bike to the grocery store
2. Father said the he will come late after his long trip.
3. Trainers introduce their new swimming suits.
4. The old beggar is holding his painful tummy.
5. Marie gets her license, when she was 26 years old.
6. Leo serves the company for three years, and he was promoted.
7. Because of its white sad, Boracay is my favorite place.
8. Tina talked her friend, because of her action.
9. Kids have their own way enjoying the summer.
10. Local celebrities are caught with their rumored partners.

V. Assignment
In a 1 whole sheet of paper make an autobiography with the use of antecedents
and pronoun.
