Classroom Layout

For my classroom set up as if I was in a physics class. I have it were I can seat up to thirty-two
students in the classroom. I set up the desk to allow easy group work. This set up will allow me to walk
around the classroom with ease and the student will be able to keep visual of me while I instruct with
ease. This important because I believe to provide a productive environment in a classroom the class
should be set up for max learning potential. Having table groups will allow students to be already with
their lab partners. There is a monitor on each side of the class so all students can view videos or images
that need to be seen. This will help prevent disruption by student feeling like they need to move to see
the content. I have two large storage closets by the instructor’s desk with two filling cabinets by the
desk for additional storage. These will be used to keep lab, project equipment and school supplies for
the class. I have four mirrors in the class that would have a few quotes from the students. Student will
often take restroom breaks not because they need to always use the restore but because they become
self-confident on how they look. My hope is for students to resolve this without having to leave the
classroom. I want to use it as an opportunity for student to have a pick me up moment with a positive
quote that they or their friends may have written. I have posters on the wall that would have science
quotes and motivational statements. This is so the classroom can have a positive atmosphere so student
can sill comfortable even on the most stressful days. I set up this classroom for an open environment
that is set up for function overall.
