My Name is Julia Scarborough. I am a Post Baccalaureate student at Millersville University, and

am seeking a position as an Elementary Teacher (PreK - 4).

Currently, I am completing my student teaching placement at Price Elementary in the School

District of Lancaster. While teaching at Price, I have seen the difference that a group of educators
can make in the lives of students and their families. I am reminded daily why teaching is the best
job in the world. I am committed to meeting the needs of all students through differentiated
instruction, family partnerships, and personal development.

I intend to complete my program of study and receive my PA PreK - 4 Certification in May of

2021. I am currently enrolled in the following: Graduate Student Teaching, Current Trends in
Education, and Internship in Elementary Education. These courses will conclude the first week of
May. I have also successfully completed my Pennsylvania Educator Certification Tests. Upon
completion of my current courses, I will be recommended to the Pennsylvania Department of
Education for Certification. Because I have not yet received my official certification, I have
attached my Millersville University Degree Audit. This audit reflects my academic standing
within the Education Department at Millersville University.
